Então os soldados, o comandante deles e os guardas do templo prenderam Jesus e o amarraram.

Primeiramente eles o levaram a Anás, pois ele era o sogro de Caifás, o sumo sacerdote daquele ano.

Caifás foi aquele que falou aos outros líderes judeus que era melhor para eles que um homem morresse pelo povo.
