Reunindo os Doze ao seu redor, Jesus disse-lhes: "Como vocês sabem, nós vamos para Jerusalém. E quando chegarmos lá, todas as profecias dos antigos profetas a meu respeito se cumprirão.

Eu serei entregue nas mãos dos mundanos para ser desrespeitado, maltratado, cuspido

chicoteado, e morto. Mas ao terceiro dia Eu ressuscitarei".

Porém eles não entenderam nenhuma palavra do que Ele dizia; porque o significado das palavras era difícil para eles.
